One Pot Creamy Chicken Marsala Pasta

Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down.
And I’d like to take a minute, just take a seat, I’ll tell you how to make an easy dish everyone will want to eat.

One Pot Creamy Chicken Marsala Pasta. You cook the noodles, sauce, and chicken all together to make an extra-flavorful dish. Not to mention, clean up is a breeze when there's only one pot to be washed!! You're going to love this easy and impressive recipe. |

Iiiiiin a really large pot, with the burners ablaze, and boiling water, is where my pasta spent the old days.
Boiling and bubbling and not over cooking, until it was al dente and delicious-looking.

`Til a couple of recipes took me by surprise, told me something I never thought of, opened up my eyes.
I read one little tip that changed pasta a lot– It said, “You can cook your sauce and noodles all in one pot.”

Bacon Egg & Cheese “Everything” Egg Rolls

When it comes to breakfast, I’m the worst.

It’s probably easy to imagine that I wake up every morning to make myself omelettes stuffed to the max with fresh veggies and melted cheese that oozes out of the folds like a little egg volcano. And being that homemade meals are kinda my thing, there are always plenty of soft blueberry muffins with sugar crystals glistening atop, or slices of sticky french toast casserole, or layers upon layers of thin buckwheat crepes to choose from, should I decide to switch things up.

Bacon Egg & Cheese "Everything" Egg Rolls. My new favorite breakfast. My new favorite brunch. My new favorite appetizer. I seriously love these things and want to eat them 24/7. | hostthetoast.comBuuuuuut that’s not the case at all.  If you’re now picturing me cursing my “snooze” setting as I drive to work, sobbing into my 6th granola bar breakfast of the week, or perhaps practically mainlining iced coffee and pretending it counts as a meal, you’re getting warm.  I just feel like I hardly ever have the time or the hunger for breakfast during the workweek.

(Please don’t use this confession against me in the future.)

Maple Bourbon Brown Butter Peach Pie

I’m firmly convinced that there is no better dessert in this world than Maple Bourbon Brown Butter Peach Pie.

Maple Bourbon Brown Butter Peach Pie. This is probably the most delicious dessert to ever grace the face of the earth. Fresh peaches, maple-bourbon caramel, pecan brown butter streusel, buttery, flaky pie crust, and vanilla bean ice cream. |

Yes, I said it.  I, the fruit skeptic, the haphazard baker, the Thanksgiving-dessert-skipping monster (seriously, who turns down a slice of warm apple pie?!) made this pie twice in one week.

It was just that delicious.

And I will make it again.  And again.  Andagainandagainandagain a million times over.  Infinity times.

It’s raining pies, hallelujah!

Cucumber Basil Gin and Tonic

I’m gonna be honest with you– I had a very tame weekend filled with tbs movie marathons, trying to get work done on my laptop, and fried foods.

Cucumber Basil Gin and Tonic. I have never even liked gin but this summer cocktail is so refreshing and delicious that it's a new favorite of mine! |

And even though I’m not leaving any crazy spree of excitement behind as I enter the work week, I’ve got to say, I have a serious case of the Mondays today.  A case of the Mondays that can and will only be cured by an after-work Cucumber Basil Gin and Tonic.

Favorite Melty Mozzarella

You know what I love?  Some deliciously creamy, fresh mozzarella cheese.  You know what I don’t love?  Paying $8 for a pound of it.

Favorite Melty Mozzarella. It's easy to make and costs way less! Not to mention mozzarella this fresh is just amazing beyond words. |

Every time I go to the grocery store and pick up a log of fresh mozzarella, my mouth salivates, but my wallet cries.  I’d been thinking a lot lately about attempting to make mozzarella myself, but it just seemed so hard.  There was no way I could make it without messing it up majorly and taking up my whole day, right?

Wrong.  So very wrong.
