(Day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas)
I know how it is this time of year; one minute you’re throwing around the idea of hosting a holiday party, and the next minute someone’s ringing the doorbell. And then another. And then another. Suddenly, there are 50 people in your house and you only expected ten. What do you do when you need to serve a ton of people? Make Holiday Rum Punch!
Holiday punch is like the batman of parties—it’s always able to save the day at a minute’s notice. I wasn’t sure what to do at first when I realized that I hadn’t planned to serve enough alcohol and didn’t have much money left to splurge on ingredients, but I eventually decided that I should make a simple punch. I threw this Holiday Rum Punch together for the holiday party I hosted a few weeks back, and despite the fact that I made an entire Gatorade jug full of it, it ran out after only 25 minutes or so. I wasn’t even able to get any good pictures (sorry), because people were literally lined up by the punch bowl until it was finished. Everyone kept asking me for the recipe, so here it is for you guys! Serve this punch at your next get together, and tipsy guests will be thanking you for the rest of the night.
Get a little tipsy as you’re surrounded by tinsel with this Holiday Rum Punch recipe.
