Over the years, I have formed several St. Patrick's Day traditions. Some involve food, others involve places to go, and absolutely none of them involve green beer (I'll have a Guinness instead, please!) However, that's not to say I don't sip a little green libation when the 17th of March nears. I love bringing this green St. Patrick's Day Punch to parties, and it always is well-received.
This punch won't knock you on your butt, which really should be left to all of the Jameson drinking that goes on throughout the Irish holiday. Instead, it balances fruitiness, ginger, and champagne to create a refreshing drink with just the perfect amount of alcohol for a casual setting. I use this punch recipe year-round, so don't think it only should be put together when the Irish stars align. It's so easy to make and enjoyable that it works perfectly for any event. You can also swap out the lime sherbert for any other fruit flavor to change up the color and flavor for a different day!
